Baked AO in Albedo

Crevices, grout lines, and panel gaps are pre-darkened in the diffuse channel. Cut shader complexity by one pass and save ~0.8 ms per draw call on Adreno 640 and Mali-G77 GPUs.

Optimization Guidelines for Realtime Rendering

Our texture packs are authored with platform constraints in mind. Follow these guidelines to keep your frame times stable on mobile and maintain crisp detail on desktop.

Resolution Ladder: 1K → 4K

Every pack includes 1024, 2048, and 4096 variants. Use 1K for mobile (iOS 13+, Android 12+), 2K for mid-tier consoles and laptops, 4K for high-end PC. All maps share identical UV tiling so you can swap resolution without rebaking.

ASTC & BC7 Compression Profiles

Pre-compressed .ktx2 (ASTC 6×6) and .dds (BC7) files are included in each download. ASTC 6×6 delivers 4:1 compression with no visible banding on albedo maps. Roughness and metallic maps use BC4 single-channel to halve VRAM usage.

Material Slot Strategy

Limit your scene to 4–6 material slots per environment. Use our tri-planar projection-friendly normal maps to project textures onto complex geometry without UV seams. This approach is used in the open-world game Ashenfall by Nocturne Interactive.
